Question about Sony Ericsson K610i Cellular Phone
Hi there - kids got a hold of my phone and I thought they had knackered the phone keypad. When you press number 2 it does not get recognised and the same with several other keys.
I replaced the keypad myself after ordering a replacement and its still the same.
any one got any ideas what could be causing this. I basically need to get the phone connected to my laptop so I can take the contact details off it but I cant enter the default security pin (0000) as the 0 key does not get recognised.
any help appreciated.
Clean the connection between the pad and mainboard, even if this does not look dirty. New pads often need cleaning due to factory residue. Use isopropyl alcohol. I had the same problem with a new keypad and this worked for me. Good luck, I hope it works for you too.
