Hi, The battery needs to be replaced because it will no longer hold a charge. You can charge and charge and it will not fill up. This is called internal discharge.
Hi, my name is John. try putting a external speaker in back of radio and see what happens, might need to replace internal speaker, or something internal. Let me know, I will post the process here......Hope this was helpful..
[CHANGE YOUR CMOS BATTER WHICH IS INSIDE YOUR CPU CASE] I do not think you fixed the CMOS battery - (backup battery = CMOS battery) According to the error codes, you have a dead backup battery and the time is not set. Makes sense? 161 (Dead battery.) 1. Go to Checking the Backup Battery 2. Backup battery. 3. System board. 163 (Time and date were not set.) 1. Set time and date. 2. System board.
Go to www.ibm.com Find and download the user manual, and the "hardware maintenance manual." Do you know how to get into bios/setup?
Start with the machine OFF. HOLD DOWN and CONTINUE TO HOLD THE "F1" key. WHILE STILL HOLDING "F1", turn the power on, and CONTINUE TO HOLD "F1" This will get you into the bios "setup." You should check the date, bootup order, etc, and reset. I would check the "wire" you think you reconnected---you may just not have actually reconnected it. The "hardware maintenance manual" shows you how to maintain this machine, and it explains the meaning of the error codes.
This will get you started on looking for the manual:

The battery is on the proccessor but it is not replaceable. You need a flash backup card to save to and restore from. If the battery is dead it is either a very old system (which is okay) or there is something wrong that is putting a drain on the system. Try doing a backup before you shut it down and see if that can be restored
check WLAN and bluetooth first if it is switched on it will end up in short battery life Secondly
may be ur battery is faulty bcoz sometimes battery life ends in 1 year if charge cycles are enuff it also depends how ur phone OS handles the battery usage i mean how much it needs to standby and work and also the network quality i mean signal strength how hard ur phone has to strive for signals in remote areas or far from towers
pls try this first b4 buying battery
try resetting the phone like this
1) *#7370#, then enter 12345 (This is the default security code unless the user has changedit) and then Yes. The phone then wipes all apps and phonebook contactson the internal memory.
if problem persists then pls update urphone software from www.nokia.com select ur region and ur phone fromlist then download software update application backup ur data if itlets u do it and then download the phone software and update ur phonewith latest software if problem is still there then

You have to first charge the backup battery, for charging insert a fully charged main battery into the MC906x. Then the backup battery will starts charging leave it there for one day. if that message is still coming then the problem is with the backup battery and u have to replce it
