There are 6 screws, 4 at the side and to at the rear panel. After removing theses screws you can take of the lid.
Next to the transformator there are two glass fuses. The 500mA fuse is obviously broken, so just replace it and the power is bach up.

Why did my Denon Carousel CD player stop working and can it be fixed?

I'm not sure if this will help, but when that happened to my CD player the solution was very simple. I removed the outter cover and took a Q-tip dampened with some alcohol and cleaned the little lens that reads the cd. It's a very common problem, and the fact that yours is 15 years old guarentees the lens is dirty. Some people trash their stero when It could've been good as new with just a Q-tip & little alcohol.

I hope it works!

Denon DCM-370/270 - issue playing CD's. A CD will

I would replace the audio cable from the CD player to the Denon amp, a long shot, if you have other devices hooked to the amp and plays fine, the problem will be in the CD player. However! if all sound sources have the same problem, the issue is with the Denon unit.

Had a similar problem with my Denon. When I inserted CD it takes it in but immediately stops - like it doesnt sense the CD. Same problem with Single or Multi changer. Removed cover, removed reader ( 4 screws) and found lens had fallen out. Cleaned, reinstalled with touch of super glue on rim - works fine.

I agree with this answer:try to connect the CD Player output to the working input on the Denon Amp( say tuner remove it temporarily).

try if it works, then you have a good CD player

if not check if there is volume available on CD player , turn it a little bit higher, using remote control

check if the CD is reading the disk

check also the connector you are using

check if there is a known working CD audio inside the player

if still having problems state the model of your CD player

hope this helps, thanks for using Fixya!

Denon CD door jammed

If you are comfortable taking the cover off, you can try removing the cover and then try to help the tray out the same time you are hitting OPEN/Close.
IF you are not comfortable removing the cover then, you can try to take a credit card (Actually, if you have any of those JUNK credit cards that the CC companies send out as trial offers, those work the best, and who cares if you bend those, they get tossed anyway) and bend an edge at a 90 degree.. (about 1/8" of the edge) so it makes like a small ledge. try to fit it inbetween the top of the door, and then see if you can open it up. Some players have a seperate door, and some trays are attached to the door. You might be able to help it out or unjam the tray this way.
And in the Future, with any other CD/DVD Players, use your remote control or the open and close button to open and close the tray, and NEVER Push on the tray itself. If I had a dollar for every dvd player tray that Ive fixed because of this, I would be buying bill gates dinner. (not really, but you get my point)
Good luck.

Maybe you accidentally break some contact(s), on display or somewhere else. If that is the problem, soldering iron should solve that. Look for any loosen wires or detached contacts.

How do I replace a damaged power supply transformer on a DN-600F ?

Hello there. i'll suggest you one quick solution but it maybe dangerous!(Do it the greek way :P) try to remove the transformer from the machine. Take one Ohm meter and measure the resistance of the 120 vac coil. IF THERE IS NOT ANY (i mean that the ohm meter shows nothing diferent than not using it) get a paper blade and start removing the paper cover that it has rounded from the place where the 120 vac wires goes. you will see there that there is a mini thermal fuse.short circuit the thermal fuse and try to measure again the resistance of the 120 vac coil. if you see something between 40 and 80 ohms you are ok. Now that you haven't got any thermal fuse on your transformer just increase your security putting on a 300 mA fuse at the 120vac coil. I have done it with many hard to find transformers and it worked for me.Just be sure that when you plug it on, you will not touch it because i don't know if you are gonna do it right.ok? (say ok!) That was the second solution to your problem. The first and the safest is to go to your local dealer and order a new transformer.
