Does not turn on

you probably had a bad solder connection on one of the convergence modules, it's a common problem with projo tv's. that loose connection finally got bad enough to cause a short in the module, and that's what is sending the power supply into shutdown. have it fixed, and have them replace all of the convergence modules, not just the bad one. if one went out, the other(s) (there are 2, sometimes 3 of them) are the same age, and likely will also fail soon.

...... gee i was looking for a picture of one of those modules, but can't find one. well, anyway the modules are on large pieces of finned aluminum (heat sinks), and are about 3-4 inches wide, 2 inches tall, 1/2 inch thick, are usually black plastic, and have about 20 wire leads coming out of the bottom going down to the circuit board.

You need to replace the two convergence ic's
