Garmin Nuvi 350 Calibration Issue

My nephew got ahold of my nuvi 350, and somehow got to the screen where you calibrate the touch screen. As he was trying to push the dots on the screen, somehow it calibrated in such a way thats it's nearly impossible to use now. I try to get back to the page but it is so hard to find the right area to touch on the screen to make it work.

Is there a way to reset this unit back to all its factory settings, this way the calibration resets to normal again?

thanks

Same problem here. I followed the steps and didn't let up on the power button, but after the Pre-Boot and Booting messages appear, the word Loader appears then Loading Software... then the unit cycles back to Pre-Boot etc. I've tried letting up at different times, but no luck. Any other ideas of how to get to the calibration screen? Thanks.

Turn the unit off. Press and hold down the power button and keep holding it. You will see the screen light up and it will say "pre-boot mode". Keep holding down the power key. It will then say "booting". Keep holding the power button down. You'll then come to the calibation screen. Select the dots and you'll be back in business.

If you let up on the power button at any time, that's why it didn't work. Hold the button down and don't let up off of it until you see the dots screen.

There is a possibility that the touch screen cable inside is loose or not making good contact inside. This can happen if you have dropped your nuvi. I've seen it happen many times.
