CD Stuck in PS3 Console - Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

Go to youtube and look up how to manually take out a stuck cd. After the cd is out, the system should work fine again.

If the light is yellow/greenish it means that your PS3 is broken.
Unless your an god at tinkering with electronics you should turn it in for repairs/buy a new one.

look up YLOD and see if thats your problem!!

To get the cd out the trick is to turn the ps3 off from the back!!! hould down the eject and turn it on from the back.. this will kick the fans on high then spit the cd out.

turn ps3 on and hold your finger on the eject button it will come out if don't keep trying

You will have to take a screwdriver to it, and open up the PS3, and remove the CD... once you do that make sure the console will stay on without the cd in the drive, do your update under systems menu then try ANOTHER game

Problem with the laser it sounds like. If you still have the system apart with the dvd drive out, go ahead and replace the laser. You can usually find them on Ebay.

Here's how to take it apart do that and take the CD out manually

try this, press and hold eject button for around 15 seconds, this resets the cd drive, hope this helps

hold in ps button on controller, switch off system and restart or quit the game and go to the ps3 main menue, eject it from the menu by going to options on the cd, dont do it manually especially with a ps3 game, it only really works with a dvd.
