Is there a way to have an auxiliary input for an iPod?
Yes. I know of two units out there: Denison's IceLink, and the Phatnoise box (or Phatbox, as some call it). I believe both install the same way. You figure out where you want the iPod connector (say, glovebox). Pull the stereo out of the dash, disconnect the CD changer (you'll lose the changer function with these but who cares?), and plug the adapter cable into the changer's port. It'll allow the iPod to play through the factory stereo, and will allow you to control the iPod with the buttons on the factory stereo.
I drained my audi a4 2000 2.8 v6 5spd battery by leaving the radio on too long. i jumped it wit a battery kit charger. not another car. my car starts and runs fine but the stereo says, "safe". it wont let me do anything as far as changing the station or playing a cd or nothin. i dont have the owners manual and i really want to hear my radio. does anyone know what i can do?
