Make sure you have 'finalized' the disc.. this prepares the DVD in a special way to be used on other players... without finalization the disc is almost just like an extra disc drive and you can continue adding material until it is full
'Finalize Disc' will be a menu option in your writing software but it may be called something else but whatever it is there should be a little explanation attached to it explaining that it is to 'finish' the disc for use on another player
Well a finalized disc should work fine on other players.. when you play it on the recorder does it play in full ok with no problems? if so then the file is written ok and it simply has to be down to finalization. Only other thing I can think of is if by an obscure chance the other player(s) are too old or cheaply made (no insult intended) that it or they don't support writable discs. I remember a few years ago that was nearly always the case with both DVD and CD players (especially car CD players)

Thanks for that, I did finalise the disc it didnt work, so I tried unfinalising it, that didnt work either, could there be a problem with my recorder
my player is a few years old but does play writable disks, I only watched one today--my son tried to play a disk I had recorded for him the other day, his is a new player but it wouldnt work on his, thanks for all your advice and time, maybe I should give samsung a ring,could be me missing something
