Has the unit been dropped or banged around lately? If the unit has been dropped it could have a cracked board or bad/missing interconnection. If it hasn't been dropped you probably have a component which has shorted out, causing the problem with the battery, which has a lower current output capability than the charger. Now it sounds like the problem has gotten worse. If the unit is older and not that expensive it may not be worth fixing. Good luck.

Charger seems to have both red and green lites flashing at the same time no sequence and both batteries connected read 4.0 VDC, are these chargers repariable or throw aways

Your manual is here. The section on charging states, that green blinking means your battery is fully charged but blinking red means that your charger is faulty. I would say repairable.

1. Plug the female connector of the AC power cord (supplied) to the AC receptacle on the charger and plug in the male connector on the AC power cord into the wall outlet.

2. The On/Off LED indicator is blinking RED, this is abnormal. Unplug AC power cord from the on-board battery charger and wall outlet. Charger may need to be replaced. Contact an Invacare dealer or qualified technician.

3. When the On/Off LED indicator light is Off, charger is Off.

4. When the Charge LED indicator light is YELLOW, the batteries are charging.

5. When the Charge LED indicator light is solid GREEN, the batteries are fully charged (as their condition will allow).

6. When charging is complete, unplug the male connector of the AC power cord from the wall outlet and then unplug the female connector of the AC power cord from the AC receptacle on the charger.

No power ac or dc IFR 1200 super s

Try another Cord/charger, with the EXACT same power specs, without the battery installed. If it works on the AC/DC cord/charger, replace the battery with a genuine battery with the exact same power specs.

Toshiba nb505 says battery is charging but its not.

By replaced battery, you bought one? Some aftermarket batteries do not work well with your laptop. I would return the battery as defective. Some aftermarket batteries are inexpensive for a reason. Make sure the Cord/charger and the battery are the EXACT same power specs, DC volt and Milliamps, or you may fry components.

Older Toshiba laptop runs on battery, but not AC cord.

on some older laptops the battery has to be installed for it to turn on.
if the battery don't hold a charge it's no good.. but you need it to get power from plug.

My laptop is not charging. i plug the power in but still doenst charge. im not sure if its on the power cords or on the laptop please help asap i need my laptop for school :(

Does the laptop work on AC ? Is the battery or cord/charged a replacement? First, try another cord/charger of the EXACT same specs as original. Second, Is the battery good? How old? Over 4 years? Have it tested. Beware of inexpensive aftermarket batteries and cord/chargers. I assume the laptop works on AC? If you unplug the AC , with battery in, the laptop shuts down immediately?

My Kindle Fire will not start

If you last charged it with the computer USB port, try charging with the supplied AC adapter instead. If you last charged with the computer USB port, try charging with the AC adapter this time. This will help isolate a bad AC adapter / power cord or USB cable / USB port.

It is important to note that if you are charging your Kindle via USB port on a computer, when many computer enters "sleep mode" the USB power is shut off at this time too. Charging is effectively halted - even though still connected. You should only expect to charge while the computer is active or when using the AC adapter.

You can also purchase an aftermarket DC charger. These are small plugs that are inserted into your auto's port or cigar lighter. They provide 1 or 2 USB connectors to plug in a USB cable. These devices are suitable to supply / charge just about any devices that uses a computer's USB port to power / charge a device. They cost anywhere from $5 and up and look something like this:
I hope this helps and good luck!

I have a dell inspiron 1545 laptop. Just recently I have been getting a message that the computer does not recognize the power source when I have the AC cord plugged in. We have been using this AC power...

If you are using a Genuine Dell charger, the battery should charge. I don't think its the battery however. My guess would be that there is damage to the inner pin of the charger jack, or possibly damage to the socket where it fits. It could also be down to worn contacts. The charger will power the laptop, as long as there is sufficient contact on the + (inner pin) and a tight enough fit on the outer (-) contact.

If you look closely at the inner pin on the charger, check and see if the inner pin has snapped.

The best check is to obtain or borrow a known good dell charger (aftermarket ones will simply not charge the battery) and see if that resolves the problem, or if you know anyone with the same model, ask them to see if their laptop will charge the battery. That at least will either confirm or deny the fault being with the charger or battery.

More serious is the possibility that the charging circuit has failed. On occasions, the small fuse on the motherboard can fail, or, there is a more deep seated problem on the charging circuit.

My toshiba satellite L300 has no power

Please follow these steps VERY CAREFULLY:

1) Unplug the notebook from the ac adapter (charger power cord)

2) Take off the battery pack on the notebook

3) Once the ac adapter and battery is off the notebook, hold down the power button for 15 seconds

4) After 15 seconds, let go of the power button

6) Now press the power button once.

7) If the unit boots, the unit suffered a slight surge

8) If the unit does not boot and remains dead, the unit suffered a severe surge and may be burned out and needs replacing

I hope this helps and let me know how it goes afterwards

Battery doesn't charge

Is that the original power cord for that? Or was that one bought aftermarket, some aftermarket chargers will only power your laptop and not charge.

Charge problem!

It's one of two things, the more likely of the two is that that battery is totaly shot, laptop battery's are usually only good for 1.5 years then loose there ability to retain a charge. It sounds like that one's just done. Unfortunatly that those batterys cost more than there worth, 100 bucks or more. The second possibility is the power cord, is that the original power cord for that? Or was on that was bought aftermaket, some aftermarket chargers will only power your laptop and not charge. Also remove the battery and check for corrison. You can build your own battery fot a a laptop if got a few hours time, and are good with a soldering gun. You get the litium ion cells you need for about 40 bucks. Follow the below link for a step by step on how to build your own battery
