Microsoft Wireless Laser mouse 5000

Hi, ive been having a problem with my mouse in the fact that the cursor wont move onscreen.
Ive tried it on many surfaces so it isnt that and the buttons still work on the mouse so i can effectively still click but cannot move the cursor around.
I'm no expert but i think it may be something to do with the laser but have no idea how to fix it??

Any ideas?

Thanx

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I had the same problem and it was driving me insane - then while troubleshooting the problem I noticed that the bluetooth support service was disabled. I started the service and set the startup type to automatic - that solved the problem for me - no more freezes!!!

Replace the batteries, look under the mouse you should see a removable cover, the batteries should be in there.

Assign a keystroke to the mouse, in this instance I assigned 'p' for pan (as per the .pgp file short cuts etc) against the scroll wheel click.

Click the scroll wheel, 'p' comes up on the cad screen, right click to confirm then the pan icon appears, hold the left mouse button and drag at your leisure. Yet to find a fix for Inventor.

Not ideal, but better than nothing at presnt.
