Question about Ovens

AEG Competence 305 B-W. Fan oven.

Hi,
hope you can asist, I have above appliance. This came with the property. I am trying to find user manual plus find if I have a problem with heating system. Above the oven door on the right hand side there are two dials. The first has fou settings: 0, Grill, Fan and lastly= A bulb simble which I assume is a pre-heat setting. It is this 4th setting which I think I have a problem with as in this mode the first red light comes on but not the second. I cannot detect any heat?. All the other settings work.
I am assuming the element somewhere near base of oven is faulty. I think the top element which is also Grill is providing heat for the fan setting
or am I assuming to much?. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

AEG Competence B3101-4m oven not working on fan setting. Fan operates but no heat. Also intermittent problem on full grill setting. Any ideas?

ISOLATE MAINS POWER BEFORE OPENING ANY PANEL
Several possibilites come to mind.
first Has this AEG two fans if yes , it has a top and back fan, the element on the back fan sounds like its either a bad connection or blown needs further investigation, the intermittent grill possibly a thermistat, of poor contact on a connection again. Rear and top panel access, you may have to remove the top fan.
Hope this has been helpful

I have an AEG Competence Single oven model B2100-1-w The oven is not reaching or holding temperature I have noticed the fan is not spinning

Hi steve sounds like your fan motor is faulty they are not very powerful any resistance in the bearings can stop it starting. oiling the bearings wont help you need to replace the motor also it will have damaged the element no air circulating it will of overheated. an overheated element usually lasts till xmas morning.

AEG Competence Oven not working

If you are certain that the element is o/k, and it is not heating, then thwere are 2 possibilitues.

1- the oven thermostat could be faulty, whereby it is giving a feed to the element.
2-some ovens have a fan only setting, as well as heat and fan, make sure that it is not on a fan only setting.
Hope this helps.

Oven is AEG Competence, single oven, fan assisted, 4 yrs old. Oven doesn't heat. Light ok, automatic cooking settings not switched on, grill working

If the fan is working o/k, then you need to replace the oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment, behind a removeable cover.
This should solve the prob.
Please leave feed back.
Thankyou.
