Error message A01 means -Acqua stop operated due to a leak or overfill. Check if there is still water in the machine after it stop pumping. In case you still have water - your problem is with the pump or with a blockage drain line. If there is no water in the machin, it might be a water level sensor issue - stuck physically in the high level position or become defective. Try to reduced the water presure and leveled it up by the water entrance tap to the machine, it might solve your problem. Goog luck !!

mine Indesit DFP 584 had the same issue today. tried tilting forward, it helped for a moment. the real issue was in the drain pipe - it was leaking. after checking the bottom of the machine i found door and on the door was a floating sensor. once the door was filled with watter, it linked the sensor and that is what causes the A:1 error code. hope this is helpful. Just fixed my DE73 with error code A501. Found it still running overnight, water on floor. Emptied machine of dishes. Tried to restart it a few times - A501 every time. Shut door of machine. Make sure you have a mop or something to soak up water in front of machine.Tipped it forward about 70 degrees. Water ran out through bottom of door (I think). Tried short programme with machine empty. Ran ok. There must be a sensor somewhere that registers water overflow in base of machine.

Why my AEG F55080vi stops after drain cycle (program beginning) and then it stops and I hear 2 beeps and 2 flash continuously?

Definitely, water drain time-out. Error code i20.
The pressure switch doesn't return to EMPTY (1-2) after two drain phases lasting 120 seconds.
Possible causes:
Drain circuit obstructed/blocked; drain pump
interrupted or jammed (foreign bodies); level
pressure switch blocked on FULL (1-3); hydraulic
circuit of pressure switch obstructed; wiring faulty;
circuit board faulty.

Thanks to your detailed description of failure I conclude that in drain phase (after starts drain pump) leaks water and causing a short circuit. I would thoroughly reviewed drain hydraulic circuit. If is alarm displayed and there is no water inside dishwasher then check heater and anti-interference suppressor.

My Kenmore dishwasher does not fill with water when switch is turned on. What could be the problem?

First thing to distinguish is which motor are you hearing working is it the wash motor or is it the drain motor. Describing what you have above I would tend to think that it would be the drain motor that you are hearing on the drain pump itself. This happens for a couple reasons in a dishwasher. One your Float switch could be defective. Two you could have a leak condition in the unit and the drain pump is trying to pump out the water due to this issue. Three you could have a clogged drain line or exit port where your drainlines goes into your sink or in the drain line itself. Four would be a clog in the drain pump itself or the impellar of the pump is not turning. How much water do you have on the inside of the machine and is the machine draining if it is draining then I would look at the float switch first in the unit. I will await your reply as to your finds and if you have any further questions message me back
Thank you

I have a whirlpool Adp8540 that seems to go through the wash cycle completely but when we open it up the water has not gone through the spraying arms and the soap is a solid mass at the bottom of the...

It is likely the water circulation system is faulty. This dishwasher uses a single motor to run the water pump and the drain pump. If you hear the wash pump operate during wash cycle then it is likely there is a blockage in the water circulation manifold which distributes the water through the arms.

If you do not hear the pump operate during wash cycle then the sensor is faulty. The sensor tells dishwasher to switch to drain cycle from wash cycle.

Try following the diagrams at top of this website to get idea of parts.

Siemens SE55T790 dishwasher does not work. We can hear apump or motor running but there is no water inside and the program does not advance. We have checked the water intake & filter which are both...

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or back feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET valve to open up and allow water to flow into. If this does not happen then the voltage at the inlet valve must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the SENSOR must activate to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut .

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

if you open the kick plate, you'll see the pan below the motor and check for leaks. The leaks will trigger the sensor to pump water out. Once you dry out the pan, the pump motor will stop and you should be able to reset the program.

When starting the dishwasher there is only a hum but nothing else happens

The first thing a Bosch dishwasher does when you start a program is run the waste pump. This ensures that any residual water and waste is removed from the machine before the wash program begins.

The hum you can hear is most likely the pump motor trying to drive the impeller. This can become clogged with waste and seize up, preventing the wash cycle from starting. There is an easy way to check this:

(It's easier to do this with the washer empty)

1: Select a wash program

2. Press "Start" and wait for the humming noise

3. Open the door and pull the bottom basket forward or lift it out completely

4. Find and lift the float (the plastic dome/mushroom in the bottom of the washer) all the way up

5. Keep the float lifted and the dishwasher should pump out. Stop if/when you hear a gurgling noise as this means it's empty and pumping mostly air.

6. If the pump doesn't start, lift the float again for about 1-2 seconds then let it drop again for 1-2 seconds. Repeat this 10-20 times and see if the pump starts. The repeated stop/start signals to the pump motor can sometimes free a seized impeller.

If the pump does start, keep lifting and dropping the float switch (1-2 seconds each time) to see if the pump starts every time. If it does, you should be OK to use the washer, but further action is needed to stop the problem returning.

When you've done all this, post the results here and I'll advise you what to do to fix the problem or prevent it from returning.

Shu3302uc/u12 will not pump out

It's most likely a seized pump impeller/motor bearings or a burnt-out pump motor. There are some simple tests for the pump that anyone can do:

A. If your washer is full of water:

1. Select a wash program and press start. You should hear a low humming noise. If you can't hear anything, you probably need a new pump, but try the next step before you start buying parts or call an engineer.

2. Open the door and pull the lower basket forward or lift it out completely. Find and lift the float (the plastic dome/mushroom in the bottom of the washer) all the way up. Keep the float lifted and the dishwasher should pump out. Stop if/when you hear a gurgling noise as this means it's empty and pumping mostly air.

B. If your washer is empty of water:

1. Select a wash program and press start

C: If you can hear the low humming noise but the pump doesn't start when you lift the float:
1. lift the float again for about 1-2 seconds then let it drop again for 1-2 seconds.

LG DISHWASHER WORKS BUT VERY NOISY MODLE:LD-2040WH

The main water pump on this model does not last long. The water seal between pump and motor starts to leak that result in the adjacent motor bearing corroding and eventually failing, resulting in excessive noise. Later the water leak becomes so bad that it triggers the "E I" water leakage display and prevents it from completing the program. The pump and motor is sold as one unit and the whole unit must be replaced. I have tried to replace the faulty bearing and repacked the rubber seal with silicon grease but with no success. If anyone have repaired the water seal successfully please let us know.

Water not draining after last cycle

Arlo, sounds like your pump isn't working right. You should hear it pushing water about during the wash cycle. If not, check the filter screen on the unit first. Next, we'll have to talk about what to check ... pump motor or timer.
