I have a 'Eurovox' car radio/cassette with 'Land Rover' on the front, but the two plugs do not match up with my Range Rover. So I would like to know how to, (after removing the plugs), wire it in. These...

If you leave the original plugs connected to the radio unit you will be able to get an adapter from a motor store. In the UK Halfords keep most types, in the US I don't know what similar stores you have but i would imagine Radio Shack or similar will keep the type you need. Take the radio unit with you so they can see the connectors on the unit - they will probablky be ISO fittings and then they will be able to advise the Range Rover fitting.

If they do not have a suitable adaptor, ask them to identifiy the connectors on the radio unit (DIN, ISO etc) and then ask your local Landrover/Range Rover dealer if they can supply an adaptor for you.

Hope this clears your problem, please mark the post as Fixya.

I need Only color coding for wiring diagram for cdx-gt550

If you are planning to install your radio, I recommend you purchase a wiring harness specific for your vehicle. All aftermarket radios are standardized in wiring colors. The harness will have the diagram to hook your radio to the harness. The problem with hardwiring a radio is the wiring colors don't match, and hooking it up wrong could fry your entire electrical system. You can find a harness at Hope this helps.

Hello. I bought a VW New Beetle convertible from 2004. For whatever reasons the original radio has been removed. I'm looking for an (original) audio system that fits and looks good with this type...

If you are truely looking for original, visit your local dealer's parts department. They can provide the exact original (even if you want a little bit of an upgrade from the one that probably came in the car). As for any of the aftermarket radios, there are so many to choose from with so many functions and levels of quality. It's really up to your taste, and pocketbook for that matter. If you don't want the stock radio, visit your local stereo shop and let them know what you are looking for. BUT, don't be pressured into buying something you don't want. Happy hunting

I need the wiring diagram for this sony car radio. trying to install it on a different vehicle thx

You don't need the wiring diagram, you need a wiring harness. They are only a few bucks and will save you a ton of time and the risk of frying your entire electrical system. The wiring harness will come with instructions. All radio wires are standardized. All you will need to do is crimp the appropriate colored wire to the matching wire on the harness. Then plug the harness into the vehicle. Hope this helps.

I have a 1998 ford contour with the original radio installed and im replacing it can someone tell me where to find the wiring diagram or the schematics so i know which wire is wich?

Your best bet is to buy a wiring harness for your car at your local parts store or your local electronics store. It will plug right in to your factory harness and then you just have to match colors with yor new radio.

Replacing radio with an after market cd player in a 1999 ford au sedan jjust need to know what color wires what on the car

  • You did not list the model of Ford Sedan you are inquiring about. Here is a link that has quite a lot or car stereo wiring diagrams Look at the upper right of the page and scroll down a little bit as I have it on Ford vehicles already. Find the make and go to the year.
  • That being said if I can make a suggestion. I have hooked up hundreds of car stereos in my life. When I pull a factory radio I don't use the same wires that powered that factory stereo to power the after market stereos, DVD players etc. I go into the dash and find suitable wires a little thicker gauge to handle to often more powerful output of the aftermarket stereos.

Regards, Tony

I need a wiring diagram for a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Stereo, I'm trying to install an aftermarket deck.

If it isn't already cut, please do not cut the factory connector off the wires that plugged into the original radio. Instead, puchase the correct pigtail for your vehicle, it will plug right in to the connector from the factory radio and colored wires that match the wires on the deck come out of the pigtail. This simplifies everything and leaves you with the option of reinstalling the factory radio at a later point.
