After any how mannaging to get into the menu of screen calibration the phone hangs nothing working and reboot is the only solution to start the phone and screen behaving like insane to open menu touch the pone book plzz suggest how can i get my phone to normal
Well this is simple really if your willing to rusk it all, since the screen calibration problem happen to be as well. I simple put some warm water in the phone, be sure to take out your sim, SD card, and battery or else the items might get damage, be sure to remove the screw as well. If your phone has a warranty on it please take it to the store you have purchase and get a new one or have expert fix it.
Hint on pouring the water
1 lay the screen face down and have everything remove even the screw to prevent rust later in the future. 2 pour small amount of water in the battery area and let it run clear then pour so more 3 move your phone around to let the water move through parts of the phone 4 let it sit and dry for few days and put the items needed in for the phone to start
Major thing to remember remove the white sticker if haven't already to prevent it from turning pink which is a sign of telling the phone has been drop in water.
THIS IS NOT A BEST WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT IT WORKS ON FEW PHONE ALREADY ON OTHER SITES AS WELL.
I WILL NOT TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR PHONE IF DAMAGE OCCURS, SO USED THIS AT YOUR OWN RUSK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nokia designed the N97 with a touch-screen calibration program to remedy problems with the touch screen. Opening the touch-screen calibration program requires you to use the touch screen, which can prove difficult. You're forced to judge where to tap the screen because the screen isn't recording the precise location of your taps. To find the touch-screen calibration program, open the main menu, select "Settings" and then "Touch Input." The program provides on-screen instructions to help you finish calibrating the screen.
If your touch screen is not working, there are just 2 major causes of such, either a hardware cause which might be either the phone falling on a hard object or in water which could damage the sensor board and either the screen is malfunctioning and needs to be calibrated.
If you can access the menu of the phone, i will advice you calibrate the screen first before you send it to a repair shop. There is no updates to download for such problem as updating the firmware of the phone would do nothing but change the settings of the phone.
To calibrate the screen, you will have to go to the phones menu, go to settings, then you select the calibrate screen, it will show you some stars to touch and once you touch them properly, then your screen will be able to work effectively.
But if you cannot access the menu because of the touch, then i will advice you send it off for repairs, and what to repair on the phone is the sensor board.
OK..your touch screen was jammed or not working and you did reset via code *2767*3855# then the phone restarted with the calibration cross....you tapped the cross but nothing is happening.......what to do? first shutdown the phone remove the battery for 30 sec also remove the simcard put the battery again start the phone when the calibration screen pops up tap on the cross here you must feel the tapping is working by feeling a light vibration of the phone.....then tap on the lower bar of the screen which has color (light gray) different than the calibration screen the cross will move to another corner......repeat this for all four corners then you should see and OK on the bar to save and exit to the normal screen........done
There are various reason the touch screen of you phone might be hard. 1)The calibration of your might be changed. You have to set it correctly. 2)The touch screen sensor might be damaged or loosen, you have re-hot the connection.
1)To calibrate the settings: In the idle mode Tap the phone and go to menu and go to settings and go to phone settings and then go to Calibration.
Menu → Settings → Phone settings → Calibration.
Follow the screen and tap the screen with stylus, and follow the screen and save the calibration setting.
2)Since you say you are able to work with touch screen, your phone touch screen is not totally damaged...You have to just rehot the screen. If you don't have hands on in it please take it to the nearest service centre.I will cost very less. Its like soldering process.
Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
If you are talking about the touch screen not being responsive at all under normal conditions, read on. First try calibrating it. There are 2 ways to get to the calibration screen. Please use the stylus to calibrate! The fastest way is to be on the slide-lock screen & hold the side volume button in the Up position until "Press volume down key to check" comes up onscreen. This may or may not work on all firmware versions on the current i9, but works on most. Make sure to hold the button firmly in the Up position. You will first see the normal volume speaker icon show onscreen and the volume rise, but just keep holding it Up, and eventually you should see the pop-up box noted earlier. The moment you see that pop up onscreen, immediately press the side volume button in the down position. A white calibration screen should now show & you can calibrate the touch screen using the stylus. Try to tap as close to the center of the little pulsating icons as possible, as this will more accurately calibrate your touch screen. If the calibration screen didn't come up using that method, then you can get to it from the Main menu screen. Select "Settings", then select "Pen calibration", & follow the previous instruction.
