Problem for HP iPAQ H1940 Pocket PC

Hi,
Everytime I try to launch Word, Excel or Today programmes, teh device freezes and I have to do a reset. To resolve the problem I have tried hard and soft resets and upgraded the ROM to 1.10; all this did not work. I also tried to launch these applications through the explorer, but the PDA freezes again. The devise also freezes when I try to use Notes. Also when I open the Today programme to customize/change picture, there are no items to choose from. This exteremely frustrating as I can no longer use these programmes. All other programmes work fine.

Sorry this is a bit long but I want to give you a full picture.

i have ipaq hx2490b suddenly it become so slow and freezing so i made a reset and the screen of reset appear and freez that is it again and again nothing shows uo but the screen of the reset it is not turning off unless i take the battary out ...i tried to put it on charger to see if the battery dead ...the same thing the screen freez on the reset nothing more

Instead of doing the restore again and again I would start from scratch. First do ony the basics (the programs/drivers you need to replicate the problem). If it works then, install all other things. If not, you can always go back to the restore.

The problem with a restore is that, if the Registry got screwed up for one reason or another, the problem will come back as soon as you restore. Installing from scratch will prevent that.

If it doesn't help you could have a hardware problem. I suggest you contact HP about a replacement or a repair on your unit. How's the warranty?
