Your battery and ignition wires are backwards. Try switching them and see if that works.

2003 chrysler sebring. I was installing a new stereo, and the pink wire, which I am pretty is the battery power to the old radio sparked out. I have checked the fuses, and cant find a blown one, and...

Hi, the pink wire is indeed the battery wire for keeping the station presets in memory. It should connect to the yellow wire of your aftermarket head unit. That wire is powered by the 10 amp fuse #5. The power to run the head unit comes from fuse 14 on the red wire with a white stripe. Your diagram is pasted below. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

I can't lock in favorite radio stations

What type of car? Make sure you just hold one of the preset buttons (usually a number) for 3-5 seconds after tuning to the desired radio station.
Some cars also have an "M" or "Programming" button you need to press before assigning to a preset button.

If you have a yellow wire that is the memery wire. It needs to be hooked to a constant hot. If you do not have one you need to get a new plug for the back.
