Question about PC Desktops

Xp pro no sound

My desktop dual core xp pro computer suddenly lost sound. reinstalling the realtek driver from the disk produced a failure.
On the default Audio device appears "SoundTap Recorder" which is a newbe for me and clicking Advanced button dislays "Direct Sound Settings Not Available"

I had the same problem.....and at first even i had reinstalled the realtek driver n it dint work..!!......................Try reinstalling your operating system n it should WORK....!!!!!!!!

sound card may have failed or the default sound drivers were changed or muted. have to look at control panel hardware sound card link. check that system sounds is in the default box configuration.

You need download the audio drivers for your computer you can download the drivers from http://www.cnet.com/1770-5_1-0.html?query=realtek+audio+drivers&tag=srch
choose your operating system from one of those options then download and install the dirvers

If the system is a GX260, then this is the audio driver

Sound quite working on my dell inspiron 5305


hi.... if quite = stoped , then we might have a solution :)
u might have a pci sound card or a build in one, any way you need teh driver, and its in a special disk(if its a pci sound card), or the disk that came with your pc......so go to device management, delete all the drivers...and if u have any other software related like (realtek......) delete it to.....restart...and whene u willl be asked questions, putt on the disk and folow the instruction,,,,,,gd luck

Recovery pro lost power during my recovery of origonal settings


You can still install windows xp without the recovery disc. Just buy a windows xp installer then download the v2 premier driver in the net.
