Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

I was given an old compter with a Logitech keyboard and mouse. I recently bought a mini mouse with a USB. As the present mouse does not have USB I would like to buy an adapter where I can plug in the USB part of the mouse into the hard disk with the nine pins. Therefore I need USB at one end and nine holes at the other. Can I order/buy one? All I can find are the nine pins, which I do not need as the hard disk already has the pins. I need the holes to attach to the pins I already have. Please help!

Almost there. I need an adapter with the the USB 'opening' to put the USB part of the mouse into, and the nine 'holes', not pins at the other end, as the hard disc already has the nine pins. Hope this is clear!

There is some very good kit available for the problems you state, as long as you have bought hardware that is Win 7 compatible there should be no problems. I personally use a Logitech Marble Mouse with Windows from 98 up to Win 8 (yeuccch)

HP DC7700 small form factor. Keyboard and mouse not working while booting and unable to login. Please help me out. Thanks, James

Are the Keyboard and Mouse USB or Wireless USB. Meaning those Wireless keyboards and mice that you can get and from Microsoft or Logitech. Make sure you have batteries replaced or recharged for your keyboard and mouse. Then see if this solved the problem.

I've used the 62150 black combo (not 62150N Deluxe silver) on XP Pro for years with no problem. Manual said to sync, press ID button on receiver and LED will blink fast, then slower. While blinking, press ID button on keyboard and mouse (need pen or something to press mouse button). If receiver LED blinks whenever you move mouse or hit keyboard, it is receiving. If OS doesn't recognize, may be connectors. I had 2 separate PS2 ports and had to use an USB adapter for the keyboard cable.

Cordless Mouse & Keyboard install I need help

if you have a disc for the new items ,install first, shut down pc, then take the old mouse & keyboard off connect the new wireless ones before rebooting
you may need to sync the mouse & keyboard by holding in the small little button on each item and the reciever unit untill the lights come on indicating it is recieving the signals from both mouse & keyboard.if this does not work put the old mouse back in reboot then go into control panel / mouse, and sellect wireless mouse ,turn off the pc plug the new mouse back in then boot up

good luck

Keyboard and Mouse

Try pricewatch.com.....if it exists you can probably find it there. But..is it essential you have a square one? The only determining factor for a keyboard or mouse is the connection....that ranges from wireless (in which case you must also have a receiver), to usb to serial. Look at the end of your keyboard and mouse and match it..they have pictures. By the way I recently bought several mice and keyboards on sale at Gearxs.com.....paid $2.44 and $3.68. They were new and logitech and worked. Tango.
