Hi Mugwah007
You would be very lucky to get a new lid for the old girl. Too old for there to be spares available anymore. What I have done in the past (for Dual 505 decks that used to crack about the hinges all the time) is get a new one made from acrylic. A Plastic fabricator made it up for me for AU$80. Looked great and although not exactly the same as original, did the job. I am sure you could get someone to do the same for you in Timaru. Good to hear from a Mainlander:) I am from In'gill myself, Brisbane these days. Hit the yellow pages for a Plastic Fabricator business that can do it for yah. Cheers mate

regards
Robotek

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

I have a denon DP-7F direct table (1989)ust wondering about the point of the arm the head of the cartridge housing is very close to the record any way to get that adjusted higher?

If the tonearm balance and tracking force for your cartridge are adjusted correctly, ignore it.

Register and download the manual for free at vinylengine.com

http://www.vinylengine.com/library/denon/dp-7f.shtml

Eeeww, page 8 says the counterweight snaps on and the tracking force is factory set. Any self-repecting turntable should have precise manual balance and tracking adjustments. Or your counterweight is not on? Either way, I'd look seriously at getting the stylus checked for excessive wear if it's tracking too heavily. The manual says 500 hours of normal use. You'll be carving up your recordings.

Maybe post the question to the guys at Vinylengine

I have a Denon DP-51F Turntable that recently developed a speed control issue when playing. I noticed the "lock" indicator also flickers when the speed becomes erratic. It's direct drive, and I...

Hi. I also have a DP-51F and am experiencing severe problems with tracking. My sense is that the tone arm may be damaged. Would you be willing to sell parts from your turntable if you're not going to repair it? Let me know as I would be interested.

I have a Denon 300f that works fine but run a bit fast so the music sounds really off...anything I can do to slow it down?

I was putting the belt around the wrong part...it needed to go on the bottom of the turntable itself then be attached to the belt drive.
