Question about Philips Magnavox MRV660 DVD Recorder
Purchased end March 2008. (from MAKRO) Connected to BOG-STANDARD analogue tv, IT WORKED FINE until last week, when it now just shows NO SIGNAL, even if we use remote to change channels. Same logo appears on every channel when scrolled. Have already unplugged it overnight, and also disconnected scart and antenae leads. Obviously NOT the telly, as it still works on analogue channels 1 - 5.
Re-connect DVD, and it still shows NO SIGNAL. This machine was replaced at Makro, when the former one packed up after only 3 weeks!!
Q1. Can this one be fixed to work correctly? If so, by whom?
Q2. If we up-date T.V. to a Digital LCD TV with built in Freeview, will this recorder/player still work with such set?
Q3. Do Philips market a modest priced recorder that continues to work longer than a few weeks?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I have the same problem. I checked with Philips and they told me to take it to a local shop. If you get a solution please let me know.
