SOURCE: how to hook up alesis air fx to 16channel makie mixer what jack it goes into

Go to http://www.zzounds.com/item-ALEAIRFX.Under the picture you will see About This Product. Click on DOCs and you can download the manuals for it. Read the manual carefully and it is explained very well. Use your mixer manual to get the best set up. I would recommend using it in an FX loop that lets you mix the individual channels FX into the output you have hooked up to your computer.

SOURCE: how to get the effects to work on the mixer

This is in general for Behringer mixers since you did NOT tell us a model number...

To use the effects you adjust the FX knob for EACH channel for the amount of the mic or input you want to send to effects from that channel. This is the "send" mix.

You dial in one of the effects based on the list near the effects selection window with the selector knob and the number will change and start flashing. You press down on the selection knob which will enter the new effects number and the number will be solid and not flashing.

Then there is a knob to select how much of the OUTPUT of the effects you want to go to the main and sometimes one for the amount to the monitors.

That is all there is to it. The effects can be gated by a foot switch input if you desire.

It is a good idea to include a model number as your thing is posted as if it is a PMP3000 mixer.

How do I fix channels with no sound

Mute Switch/Mute-Clip LED :
  • This switch mutes all Aux, Group and L/R sends from the corresponding channel.
  • This switch is equipped with a red LED that will illuminate when the channel is muted.
  • When the MUTE button is out,the LED functions as a Clip indicator that will illuminate at 2 dB below clipping.
  • Muting the channel does not prevent the PFL signal from being sent to the PFL/AFL mix when the PFL Switch (12) is in.
  • This switch mutes its respective Group send from the Group channel.

You can also try, Restoring Factory Settings, in the Utility Menu Options.

Peavey FX Mixer Series Operating Manual

CAUTION:
Restoring the factory settings option resets your mixer's presets, reformatting factory presets and erasing all other user presets. (This option is handy when your venue has permanently changed and all-new presets are required.)
Once confirmed, the presets are not retrievable and will be permanently lost.
Should you select this option in error, a warning screen allows you to cancel the procedure.

Can I connect only one speaker to a yamaha emx 312 sc power mixer?

First it is certain that you would not want to plug both outputs of the stereo power amp into one speaker combining both channels into the same speaker. (see image from manual below - also link to manual)

Next I would be very concerned about only using the one side of the main amp out as it could cause an unbalanced load, or you could be driving the load into dead air connection and any of these conditions are destined to cause premature failure of the power amp.

Taking a quick scan of the manual for this unit, it appears what is pretty common to most powered mixers, hook up two matched speakers/loads to each chanel of the output.

Your best bet is to shed those monster cabs, there really is no need for them especially with this sized powered mixer, and get yourself a nice pair of full range cabs like EV1202;s, EV SX300's, or some nice 2 or 3 way 15" JBL's/

Just my opinon.

Clip is on as soon as I turn power on.

Sometimes this may be a result of a subsonic or supersonic signal, if it still does it with nothing at all plugged in and the FX turned right down there is a fault with your mixer.

Can't route effects to two channels of my mixer. If I plug into input 1 of my power amp, I have effects. If i plug into input 2 of my power amp, I get no effects. I tried both Crown and QSC power amps. ...

The power amp is the final stage - the last output from the mixer goes to the power amps.
Its a routing problem - some mixers only allow certain routing and this could be affecting your FX routes.
All the FX - internal or outboard come before power.
Check the manual Check the aux send and returns Check if you need need stereo plugs for the send and return of FX.
Get back if still stuck.

Behringer xenyx 2442fx : I need to know the correct voltages out of power-supply. Mixer has been seen by a previous tech and now FX area and mixer level leds are off (I've been a user of this mixer...

You should find pwer supply voltages of +/- 15 volts going to most of the op-amps.
You should find 48 volts for the phantom power source.
You should find 5 volts for the FX DSP or any other logic circuits.
You should find a +12 volt.

Here is a manual close to your unit (yours is an expansion of it):

Lost my booklet, how do i setup and fx pedal to mixer. It has outputs A/Mono and B and inputs A/Mono and B

Go to Google. Copy-paste the following in the search window:

PMP1000/PMP3000/PMP5000

Select the one that should be at the top that says Owner's manual for these three PMP's.

Print yourself the manual.

If you just want the pedal to turn on/off the FX within the PMP3000, just plug a switch pedal into the jack on the top labeled "Foot Sw"'

If you are trying to insert an external FX unit, best to read the manual I have sent the link to. You may have to OK loading the PDF file as some popup blockers will require you say it is OK to download.
