Question about Epson NX400/SX400/TX400
Yesterday I bought a new printer, as my old one, which I had for six years, was not performing as it used to. My daughter and I are very confused on how to use the thing - it seems very technical! We are OK using the computer, but this new printer is something not short of rocket science! The instruction book that came with it does not make it very clear on using it for simple printing jobs and only has a couple of pages on troubleshooting. My daughter was trying to print out her homework she downloaded from the internet, but it was only printing half a page or nothing at all! In any event, on screen a message kept poping up saying "document failed to print". It was pot luck that anything actually printed. The printer has a small LCD screen from which you can also print and carry out maintenance, i.e. ink cartridge checks. Do we have to set the printer up for each individual job - i.e. borders or borderless, matte or plain paper etc? Please could you let me know where can I find an idiot's guide/step-by-step instructions on how to use this printer, as I am in two minds about taking it back to get a cheaper/easier to use one.
Many thanks for your help.
