Have Sony VCR model SLV-N80/N70 . Cannot get it to record using Samsung TV model SLV-N80,N70.

The television has nothing to do with recording. It is only required for playback. There are a number of possibilities depending on what equipment you have. Do you have cable, satellite, antenna? Your signal source has to be connected to the VCR either through the cable connector, or RCA video jacks.
If you have straight cable, connect the cable to the "ant in" connector on the VCR. The VCRs tuner will select the channel you want to record. If you are on antenna, you will need a Digital set top box (STB) to receive any channels.
If you have a satellite, cable box or digital STB, you must go from the output of the box to the input of the VCR. You can use the standard coax cable, but I would recommend using the audio/video cables for better quality. If using coax, the VCR will have to be set to either channel 3 or 4, depending on the boxes output setting. Using A/V jacks, the VCR will be set to "Line" or "Video" input.

I need help connecting tv to DVD player VCR and satellite box

Connect as following
1. Set top box - RF cable from STB to antenna socket on TV.
2. DVD player output to Video1 on TV
3. VCR output to Video2 on TV.
May be you can route VCR through the DVD player or viceversa. That you can see and try on ground.

Tv has snow screen but plays movies fine, just no cable channels come in clear, some one has said maybe tuner. Sanyo DS24425

It may very well be the tuner. If it has another means of connecting to the tv try composite or component cable. If that isn't possible try replacing the coax from the wall plate to tuner and from tuner to tv. This is if you have a cable box also called an STB in your home. If you do not have an STB try changing the coax from wall plate to tv. You may even want to replace the barrel on the wallplate as well. If the cable runs through the VCR disconnect it and run it straight to the tv and this will determine if the problem is in the VCR.
Hope this helps you out.

Need remote code to control a Panasonic Omnivision VHS PV-M2079 TV/VCR combination

You need to program the VCR (which turns the sey on/off) as an aux, then program any Panasonic TV type for TV, and then set the STB button to control STB, TV and AUX and you should be set.

Remote code for PV-M1349

The secret is that the VCR code turns the set on/off and the TV code controlls the volume...try this:

Program the Verizon remote AUX button using the panasonic VCR codes until it turns the set on/off, program the remote for TV using the panasonic TV codes until it controls volume, then program the STB button to control all 3... STB, TV, and AUX. If you are missing any VCR or TV funtions try another respective panasonic code until all functions are available.

Panasonic VCR codes are 1089, 0062, 0189, 0252, 0643, 1062.
Panasonic TV codes are 0277, 0078, 0677, 1437.

To figure this out, I had to use the "what if none of the codes worked" section and figured I'd try the VCR codes since the TV codes would not turn it on/off.

Good Luck!
