It comes up with disk error after it makes a sound of it trying to turn the disk. So i undone all the screws n took of the back n blew in it getting dust off. I put the screws back in and tried again but hasnt work still can somebody help me or tell me whats wrong and if i can fix it... Its a SCPH-70002 slim playstation.

Hi this is a huge problem with ps3 it can be one of two problems the first is the expensive one this is over heating if the ps3 has been used on carpet or placed on top of something like dvd player or video or cable or sky box this causes the ps3 to overheat and the damage is usually to expensive to repiar the other problem alot of people are having is with the fan blowing dust onto the laser lense and this causes the ps3 two stop laying certain games if your warrant has run out you could remove the case and clean the lense but dont use any kind of liquid only use dry cloth but a soft one do it gently. I dont avise doing this if your ps2 still has warranty left as this fault is covered by warranty and they will replace your ps3. Im going out for couple of hours now so if you need further assistance let me know ok
The actual freezing problem can be caused by the GPU overheating and SO can the no display error as well. For an in depth look at how to fix both of these problems see this >
Like many others I play video games alot and the consoles now a days aren't extremely sturdy but i'm thinking overheating got to your bluray disk lens was burnt and needs to be replaced so buy a new lens or bluray drive. Also if you don't know what to do send it to sony.
ok as you know the ps3 uses blu laser technology but they still use a red laser as well ps2 dvd cd psone all use red and you know which use the blu so problem with that means that your blu laser went out. you can fix this yourself its real simple takes about 10 min and $80 or pay sony $200 message back if you want to know how
