Vista doesn't support ati 9200 anymore. you need to upgrade your card or go back to windows xp where the card ati radeon 9200 is supported. if that is your card.

but if you got presario b1900

goto the hp page here
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodClassId=-1&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=2512115

or here

select your model from the list and you will get eventually to the driver pages.

Changed hard drive no video now. help!!!

Well probably it looks like either the windows did not load well or maybe check the cable connnection in your hard disk. Either way try to disable your graphic card and run your OS.

I have a targa 1534 laptop. used it upstairs on the bed and may have blocked the cooling fan. In any case the screen has gone blank with only a blinking curser top left hand side. Help - have I blown it...

you might have overheated and corrupted your graphics card and its driver software make sure the graphics card is securely seated and check the lead that attach motherboard to hard drive these might have overheated and lost connectivity a computer needs to have current and data to travel up to and through every device for it to work properly even the cd/dvd must work in/out even the fan and its lead must work
hope this helps

hi not really, the reason why the fan is on there is to stop the gpu from overheating, this will include normal running of the card, so really would be advisable to replace it.hope this helps

Hello tainted feat,

Please download DriverSweeper:

Reboot into SafeMode and select the Nvidia drivers and PhysX. Select only those. Do not delete the chipset drivers. Reboot into normal mode and then go here to download drivers.

This should work. Good luck

Check BIOS settings but first change the supervisor password and log in as administrator. In BIOS there is a option like IGP-PCI and vice-versa. Set it to begin with PCI, save and continue. This what generally what needs to be done when you are not using your inbuilt/integrated graphics thats incorporated in the MB.......sodeep

  1. with this age of computer it is still quite possible that the motherboard itself has a jumper that needs to be properly arranged to disable the onboard video.
