Question about Dishwashers

Hotpoint HDA3230Z02WW Dishwasher leak

I have a leak under my dishwasher every time I run a load but can not tell where it is coming from. When I looked under the dishwasher it appeared to be leaking under a white cylinder shaped part. This is where the water was gathering at. Not sure what this is. Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

Thanks for your help!

Hello ajs10172003
Welcome

It is probably the SOLENOID that is leaking.
This opens and closes to control the water coming in and going out!
And it looks like cylinder as you described.
Time to replace that part if this is the case. An easy repair only a $40 part.
call service!
Let me know how it goes!

Our rather old Hotpoint dishwasher hums but does not run. So it has electricity and does not have a fuse or breaker problem. Can you tell me what's wrong?

The motor/pump has froze/stuck. Turn off the power and remove the lower front cover which is usually held in place with 4 screws. Underneath in the center is the motor/pump assembly. If you feel around you will come across the motor cool fan. Work it back and forth a few times and it should run.

My hotpoint aqarius dc26 dishwasher has stopped

this may be caused by a leak your dishwasher as a build in anti flood switch which stops water from entering when it leaks into the base of dishwasher . You may be able to check this for yourself by unplugging your dishwasher and slowly pulling it out and lean it back if water runs on to your floor you have had a leak .if at this point you turn it back on it might start to fill again .if it does start to fill turn it off again . it will need further examination to see why it leaking .if you feel you can't do this call your local engineer .

Fault with Hotpoint BCI45 Dishwasher

This a generic problem with hotpoint dishwashers..
Water is present in the flood catching tray at the bottom which usually indicates that there is a leak somewhere. More often than not this is just a pipe with a poor fitting and simply tightening the clip is enough to stop the leak. Our machine had a very slow leak from one pipe (not enough to trigger the alarm) which was fixed in this way. The leak is detected by a small float switch located in the flood catch tray.

Undo 4 screws on the metal plate under the dishwasher 3 at the front 1 at the back, this reveals The pump check the seals are in place on the waste pump.

you are probably plumbed in under the sink for the drain hose. a common problem is water coming back down the drain hose when you empty the sink. if so take the drain hose up as far as possible in a swan neck. other possibility is a leaking fill valve
