Question about ViewSonic N2750w 27 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I tried to turn on the tv with the remote, but it didn't work. I pushed the power button on the tv and it turned on, but instead of getting anything, it just flashed colors. Red, to green, to blue to yellow, etc. I couldn't change any inputs or get the menu to show up. It would just flash a color on the entire screen for a coupld of seconds and switch to a different color.
You have entered a diagnostic colour test. With the TV powered on, hold the 'Menu' & 'Enter' together, then press the power button. Problem resolved

ViewSonic support is incompetent. I got the same problem and the support person had no clue but to ask me to unplug the TV for 24 hours to "reset it". They also suggested I take to it for repair if it doesn't "reset" itself.
Thanks for this solution and for saving us money!!

I have a Samsung LED H5100 model. As soon as I turn on the television it shows red green blue grey white slides and won't come out of it. I saw above some of you have suggested the combination keys for viewsonic and other televisions. I would really appreciate if someone tells me the key combo for the said Samsung model mentioned above. I can't find it anywhere on the web.

That menu+enter+power did not work for my Haier lcd flat screen tv. What worked for me was literally pressing every single button on my remote one by one except the red yellow green and blue buttons at the bottom. Maybe it was only one button i needed to push on my remote the whole time but i will never know because I'm scared i'll mess it up again lol. I'm just relieved its working again.

I have an LG 37LC2D. When I turned it on the green power light would flash 16 times and then the screen would flash red, green, blue, white black and then repeat continuously.
For this model you turn the TV on and then press the menu, enter and power at the same time before the green power light completes the 16 flashes.
Thanks again...LG wanted me to book a tech and as this is out of warranty it was going to cost me $$$...but not now!

If the other suggestions listed here don't work for you try this. This worked like a charm for my Magnavox.
Stand near the TV's power cord and on the TV's remote press first the arrow up then down and unplug the tv within 5 secs , wait 10 secs and try the tv again.
If that does not do it then repeat the procedure but this time with the arrows left then right

Tried the solution and tv is still flashing colors. I had the flashing colors before and the solution worked but the second time it didn't. What to do now?

I read this solution today and tried it. And it worked. I got no help from ViewSonic except to send it to the company for repair. I waited 1.6 years for this solution. Thank you.
