Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S700 Digital Camera
Bought camera in Dec 2007....just last 2 weeks ago, the images started to appear with white lines going across each picture. This occurred several times during the week depending on what the settings were at. Now, every picture that is taken, no matter what the setting is have lines occurring across the display. This camera was taken care of at all times. Is there a recall that SONY has issued for this camera??? If not, they should!!
I have the same problem, and upon looking into my problem, i recall reading that Sony had used crappy glue in which they attached the CCD to the inner guts of the camera, and when that deteriorates, which doesn't take very long, then your pictures will have lines through them.
I think i remember reading that Sony said they will replace all cameras within 2 years of their manufacture. Call Sony's troubleshooting and support and they may replace it for you.
Hope i helped solve your problem.
