The battery bars indicator at the top of the screen will be full and when fully charged the message will say battery fully charged, if you unplug the charger and reconnect and the battery is fully charged you will see this message!
if you are new to texting then this phone is good for you as it has the full keyboard
to send a message with the phone, open it so you see the full keyboard
on the screen to the left you will see on the bottom it say "message"
click the button directly beneath it
choose 1. new message
1. txt message
you can now either type the number or add it from contacts (bottom right it says add, click the button underneath and choose from contacts and go through the list until you find someone you want to text. press ok and then press the button on the left under where it says done on the screen)
press the down arrow until you get to the body box and start typing what ever you would like to text
then press the OK button and you are all set... you have sent your first text messagE!!!!
have you tried removing the battery and replacing it to let the phone completely reboot. Is it possible that your phones memory is full and it's just not running as freely as it used to. If so clean out messeges and see if it helps.
Go to Menu, then under the "Settings & Tools" section, choose option 8 (Memory). Choose option 2 (Phone Memory), then option 1 (Phone Memory Usage). This will tell you the available MB on your phone.
Or, go to Memory, choose option 3 (Card Memory), then Card Memory Usage.
If you have 0MB left on both, then you will need to delete some ringtones, wallpaper, music, etc. to clear up some space.
If you still have room, you will have to take the phone to a Verizon store. More than likely if this is the case, the phone has a glitch in the downloading. You may of downloaded a virus while downloading music/ringtones/wallpaper.
You need to go to the verizon wireless page at verizonwireless.com, go to feature and downloads, ringbacktones, go to the over view page then sign in, go to the profile and where it says greeting, click on modify and choose no greeting.
