My laptop asus g1s i need password bios for it I'm not putting it but it show after i fixed i problem in Graphics card

you may have had a bad graphics card. if it workes after changing the graphics card, the bios is still locked, but not for use when powering on the system. without a regular bios password, you cannot enter the setup from the startup menu. with a bios security password, you will need a password to unlock the screen preventing it from starting, this password can chain to a hard disk password unlocked by placing the system security password, which will then provide a prompt for the hard disk password. :) one locks the setup for the whole system. one locks the system from starting up, and one locks the hard disk from being read. there are three. without knowing the password, if the computer will not start and load your system, ie windows mac osx, you can have someone retrieve the password, or change the motherboard. if it starts, most people don't worry about it. if it cost more to have someone resolder the bios chip, replace the main or motherboard. if it starts and runs, use it and don't worry about it. :)

How to Boot From A Windows 7 Password Reset Disk?

<span>Forgot Windows 7 password? It seems to be a universal iusse as widespread of Windows 7. To solve this problem, you can either buy a burned Windows password recovery CD on-line or burn such a password recovery disk with<b><a href="http://www.passwordunlocker.com/knowledge/windows-7-password-reset.html">Windows 7 password reset</a></b><span> </span>software. But no matter which method you choose, you have to boot your locked computer from the password recovery disk. However, you will feel frustrated when you have little computer skill. Take these 2 methods as your reference when you encounter the similar problem.<br />Of course, firstly , you need to create a<span> </span><a href="http://www.passwordunlocker.com/knowledge/create-win-7-password-reset-disk.html">Windows 7 password reset disk</a>, and then pay attention on how to boot from the Windows password reset disk .<br /> Method OneInsert a burned Windows 7 password recovery CD in your locked computer boot the locked computer from the CD/DVD as follows:<br /> <ul> <li>1. Turn on or restart the locked computer, watch the screen for a message like "Press to http://www.passwordunlocker.enter SETUP "or something similar. Press this key as soon as you see the message to enter BIOS menu.</li><b>Note</b>: The key pressed to enter BIOS is different based on manufacturers, but F2 or Delete are the most common keys <li>2. Use arrows to choose Boot on the taskbar, select<b><span> </span>Boot Device Priority</b><span> </span>and press Enter.</li> <li>3. Set<span> </span><b>CD ROM</b><span> </span>to the first boot device according to the prompts on the right.</li> <li>4. Press<b><span> </span>F10<span> </span></b>to save and exit BIOS. You computer will restart with the changed BIOS settings</li></ul><br /> Method Two <p>If the method above doesn't work, you can also try to enter Boot Menu to boot the locked computer from the burned CD/DVD as follows:<br /> <ul> <li>1. Insert a Windows 7 password recovery CD in your locked computer.</li> <li>2. Start the locked computer and immediately tap and keep tapping<b><span> </span>F8</b>,<span> </span><b>ESC</b><span> </span>or other keys until the Boot Menu screen appears.</li> <li>3. Select<span> </span><b>CD ROM</b><span> </span>as the first boot device and press Enter. After that, your computer will restart with changed bios settings.</li></ul>PC users can not only set bios password for computer, but also set Windows logon password. If the BIOS is password protected, you need to clear or remove the BIOS password before you can enter BIOS to change boot order.<br />By the way, if you forgot Windows 7 password or Windows 7 password-protected, it is suggested to take Windows password recovery software to create a Windows password reset disk. Take<span> </span><b>Windows Password Unlocker<span> </span></b>for example, it takes you only 4 steps to burn a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive for Windows 7 password recovery in 5 minutes.<br /><b>Step 1:</b><span> </span>Download and install<span> </span><b><a href="http://www.passwordunlocker.com/windows-password-recovery.html">Windows Password Unlocker Professional</a></b><span> </span>in any availble PC<br /><b>Step 2:</b><span> </span>Burn a Windows 7 Password Recovery CD/DVD or USB flash drive.<br /><b>Step 3:</b><span> </span>Boot from the burned the Password Recovery CD/DVD or USB flash drive.<br /><b>Step 4:</b><span> </span>Reset Windows 7 password under Windows PE.<br /></span>

How to remove BIOS password

If you have the current password, use it to access the bios password screen in your BIOS menu and leave the new password blank.
Assuming you don't have the BIOS password, there is generally a white jumper connecting two pins on the system board. With this removed, the BIOS password will not lock out changes to the BIOS. This is especially useful if you've purchased a used system that the previous owner locked out.

LG bios password locked

BIOS passwords can be reset in two ways:

1. using software 2. using hardware.

I would first try resetting using software, here are two software apps to reset or retrieve BIOS passwords.

!BIOS - is a PC BIOS toolkit offering password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore.
You can download it here:
http://www.syschat.com/download120.html

CmosPwd - Cmos password recovery tools

Good Luck!

Hello, I recently had a Toshiba Sattelite L455 that suddenly promped for a BIOS password on startup. There was never a bios password set for this laptop. So I found a workaround using the onboard...

You hit the correct jumpers for this model to remove the motherboard bios lock, which shows you have done your homework well. Toshiba, like Dell set a bios lock and HDD lock on some laptops for security reasons, often when the cmos battery needs changing, it manifests itself.

As to why you got this request for a bios pass is very odd, if you did not change the cmos battery, however, removing the battery as you state would not fix the hard drive problem. The hard drive will remain locked and if, as I suspect, it is a security measure, you will not be able to remove it and externally access files or even format it by slaving it in another computer or docking station.

Your best solution would be to contact a Toshiba service centre and explain the problem and ask them for a bios unlock code. IF this was installed at the factory, they should be able to remove it (you WILL be asked to provide proof of ownership)

I have heard of some laptops being "time locked", which is where the time/ date settings in the bios trigger a request for a bios password for security purposes, but never actually seen this occur. This might explain why the bios pass request appeared randomly as it did. There is the possibility that this was caused by a virus, although, again, I've never heard of this happening.
