Question about Projection Televisions
What does the ballast service kit (LSUC0022) you referenced in your solution consist of. Is it a card that is a one-for-one swap, or is it a bunch of components that need to be installed onto a board? I am having the flasking red power light (1X every second) and lamp light (1X every five secs). I replaced the lamp..no luck. From what I've been reading, its sounding alot like the ballast. Any assistance you could provide, will be greatly appreciated.
Having similar issue with my PT-44LCX65. Lamp blew and replaced it (last month), never figured out how to reset timer. Now red indicator light blinks once every 5 seconds and after about 4 minutes TV goes black.... Any ideas?

SOURCE: Mitsubishi DLP - model #WD62725
fixityrsel is wrong.
1 The "Airflow message"is just a bad connection and very easily solved.Mitsubishi has a service bulletin out and will cover the repair for free. Your set may not even have the defective connectors.
Your set was manufactured in 2004..Call any authorized Mitsubishi
Capacitors are very easy to find! Any (105 degree) PC mount 3300uf@ 16VDC will work fine..and not bulge again..Higher Working voltage than the stock 10 VDC is what caused the problem with the caps.
Mouser electronic is one of hundreds of suppliers for those caps
Order online if you know for sure they are bad in your set.

I just repaired two Mit WD-62725 sets in the last two weeks.
The first one had bad caps on the power board and the FMT board. The scond one had bad caps on four out of the five boards.
Also, on the FMT board, there was a blown surface-mount fuse.
I advise checking all of the boards for bad caps. If you fine a bad 1000uf cap, replace all of the 1000uf's on the board.
Hop this helps,

I found R3 on the original board to be open, along with reading an open on CR1, D5 and D6. All the other transistors and the transformer check out. The only thing I have to do now is find out the specs of the diodes. The replacement board also had CR1, D5 and D6 open (R3 was OK). There had been some threads on various locations where remanufactured boards had bad components (the transistors were changed but not some of the other components).
