How do I stop the heating coming on during the night?

Set automatic day and night temperatures. Forget about manual setting. Your furnace will start at night only to maintain the temperature you set. However, there is a minimum threshold where your furnace will start regardless of the temperature you set if there is a sharp drop in temperature.

Not sure which 8000 you have but it looks like all of them have the auto changeover option. Press system, you should see "heat/cool/auto/off" this is the auto changeover. So system is on auto, fan should be on auto. Send model number if you can't get it!

Why won't my lg ductless heat pump regulate the room temperature?

After I have been reading up on your unit it appears that the thermostat is not operating correctly. I found this real basic information on installation for your unit. This link I am giving is pretty basic instal schematics. But seems to be something about your thermostat needs to be dialed in or is not working properly.

I hope this helps some. Mike

I've lost my manual, and am unsure what the heat

You posted under water heater.
Open following link for adjusting water heater temperature on typical gas and electric water heaters:
State electric has ABC
White Rodgers gas thermostat has ABC
Honeywell gas valve has ABC
Each is shown on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-adjust-temperature-on-water-heater.html

60 degrees C is 140 degrees F.
You can get burned pretty quick at 140 F.
I suggest 125-130 F and see if that works
First aid for burns is to apply cool water immediately.

I am trying to lower my temperature to cool my house but it will not go any lower than 78, is there anything i can do to reset or lower the temperature?

Hi,
Many t-stats will not let you go within less than 2 degrees of the heat set point....

Lower the heating set point and then you will be able to lower the cooling setpoint..

How do you reset the unit so it is no longer on program mode

From the Operating Manual: Manual Operation for Non-Programmable Thermostats Press the SYSTEM button to select Heat or Cool and use the [Up] or [Down] buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting. After selecting your desired settings you can also press the SYSTEM button to select AUTO to allow the thermostat to automatically change between Heat and Cool. Manual Operation (Bypassing the Program) Programmable Thermostats Press the [Up] or [Down] buttons and adjust the temperature wherever you like. Then press HOLD. This will override the program. The HOLD feature bypasses the program and allows you to adjust the temperature manually, as needed. Whatever temperature you set in HOLD will be maintained 24 hours a day, until you manually change the temperature or press RUN to cancel HOLD and resume the programmed schedule. ____________________________________________________ *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. Your thermostat is reading the temperature where it is located.
If it is located next to a heat source maybe it is picking up that added heat .
Try relocated your thermostat

Lost Manual

it is probably on airconditioning (cooling), if you have Toshiba remote it should be a picture of a sun meaning "Heat", never go for "Automatic" wich cools and heats succsessivly to maintain ONE temperature, go for "Heat" when its cold!
