Saeco Incanto - Brew group does not go back into place

Yesterday, I removed my brew group for cleaning as I have in the past. I left it to thoroughly dry overnight. In the morning, the brew group would not slide into place. I don't want to force it because I'm worried that something may break. Please help. Thank you.

I am having the same problem. and I tried putting in the driptray and dregs box to the machine, I closed the door and power on the machine. When the machine not get any noise more, I opened the door took out driotray and dregsbox, and it still won't go in, it seems like the slotted gear at the bottom isn't turned the right way, and won't line-up. PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

Put in the driptray and dregs box to the machine, close the door and power on the machine. When the machine not get any noise more, open the door and take out driotray and dregsbox. Put the brewing unit on place and the same with the driptray and dregsbox.

Best regards

Hi
To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. (You can insert your key into the hole in the front and twist the key to return the brew unit to the center. Line up the 2 diamonds and it centered) If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not, locate the slide on the left side of the brew unit,(it should be hanging down, a flat rectangular piece attached to the cylinder) and push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must insert the drip tray and dredge drawer, close the door and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. Turn the machine on. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and remove the tray, now insert the brew group and replace the tray, and test.

The brew group is stuck half way thru the brew cycle and now it won't finish making or dispensing steam. How can I unstick the group?

Hello Teresa,

I understand that the brew group is stuck in your Expresso Machine. Did you know that it has to be removed and cleaned ever so often. The users manual explains how to reset and remove it for cleaning. Incase you no longer have the users manual here is a link to the users manual http://www.cerinicoffee.com/custompages/Manuals/Saeco/IncantoClassic_Manual.pdf

Saeco Incanto Deluxe brewunit jammed

Remove the dredge drawer. Open the door. On the left side of the brewing unit, and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single screw. Remove the screw. Grab the handle and pull carefully, but firmly with a quick ****. The brew group should come out. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide that piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position.

The brew unit is stuck and impossible to remove now, and something on the left seems to have moved out of place and prevents the container that holds spent coffee to slide in correctly.

Open the door. On the left side and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single small Phillips screw. Remove the screw. Squeeze the handle and pull carefully, but firmly with a quick snap. The brew group should come out with the dredge drawer and drip tray. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide the piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position. If your brew group did not come out please call your service center.
To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal plastic bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not just push the slide to the right until it does. Squeeze the lever like you are removing the brew unit until it clicks and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must insert the drip tray and dredge drawer, then close the door and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and insert the brew group. Done

The brew unit cannot be removed

I had the same problem. I apparently turned it off mid-cycle. The upper-left portion of the brew group stopped higher than it should have. I had to force the brew group out, breaking a small plastic cover in the process. I don't think that part's too important. Then I observed the orientation of the gears and visualized what orientation they needed to be in to re-install the brew group. I pressed all the sensors to trick the machine into thinking the brew group was installed and started the brew process. I released the sensors once the gears were in the necessary orientation. I re-installed the brew group and was back in buisiness.
