THANKS FOR YOUR HELP VERY COSTLY BUT WILL FIX POBLEM. HARRY

  • books6 Apr 11, 2009

Thanks for this info my repair man was charging me 125.00 a visit when it was getting clogged to unclog it. I had asked him if I could fix it and he said it was too difficult. I was never here when he did it so I did believe him until now. I am glad I jumped online to research. My kids just throw in the laundry and dont check for things and it was getting expensive. Then i checked the ccu and one of the connections was loose so I solved that problem. I say thanks a million times over for this will save me money.

Ok first you need to remove the front cover below the loading door... (Should be 3 Phillips screws on the very bottom). You will see a white cap in the very center. You are going to need a bowl to catch some water and probably some debris when you remove it....Make sure you get all the debris (coins wrappers...ect...) out before you put the cap back on the drain...Then try to run a normal cycle again. You can always run the diagnostic program that is found in the manual which is also located behind that front bottom cover if the normal cycle doesn’t go all the way through…I also had to replace the CCU (Central Control Unit) due to the fact that I was still getting the F14 & a F11 error… If you are hearing a faint clicking sound coming from the top back (before you get the F14 error) then I know for sure you need to replace the CCU... I will give you the link to the site where you can buy it....If you have any type of home protection plan I would just call them and pay the service fee (mine is only $50)....its going to be a lot cheaper that way…. If you decide to buy the part and do it yourself make sure you get the model number off the CCU. The top cover is just as easy to take off...the CCU will be located in the center on top and will also be white in color... Please make sure the washer is unplugged before you remove any covers….I hope this helps....please let me know....and here is that link to the website http://www.repairclinic.com/SmartSearch/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=1059617&PPStack=1

Code F1, does not stop filling, water pours out of soap tray

Are you sure it's not an F/H error?

The F/H code means the unit isn't detecting water fill at the flowmeter. The flowmeter sits just in front of the inlet valve and is attached via a hose, and off to the left of the CCU. Part link to the flow meter==> http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Flowmeter/1381535?modelNumber=GHW9250MW2
If your washer is filling ok, check the wiring from the flow meter to the control board; I've seen this harness jiggle loose and cause problems.

Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer: what does the F14 error code mean?...

F14 = EEPROM Error

The Central Control Unit (CCU) receives it's data from an EEPROM on board the CCU.
If there is an error reading this data, it will cause this error.

A power glitch may cause this error. Try unplugging the Unit for two minutes to see if that fixes the error.
Check CCU

So its likely you'll need a new CCU board. Check your owners manual, some models have up to a 5 yr. parts warranty on that CCU.

Whirlpool duet washer keeps flashing f14

"F14" is an EEPROM error on the Central Control Unit (CCU). The CCU is the main computer for the washer. This error is normally caused by a power glitch and can be cleared by unplugging the washer for 2 minutes. If the error code reappears, the CCU has to be replaced.

Code F14

Greetings pattiprem,

This error message can sometimes be caused by a power glitch. Try unplugging the unit for 2 minutes to see if this fixes the error. Another cause can be a problem with your Central Control Unit.

Thank you,

Dorothy
