First you connect the wire from the wall into the wan port in the back of your dsl modem. next you connect the outsource wire from your dsl modem into the wan port on your router. next put another rj45 wire into the number one port in the back of your router and the other to your computer. put another wire into number 2 and then to your xbox. everything need to be unplugged while you are hooking it up. once done power cycle...meaning plug up the dsl and wait for the lights to stay lit. then the router. the start your computer. if you want to go wireless just get a usb wireless network adaptor and there you are
