Toshiba Satellite Laptop M205-S4805 gets overheated and shuts down

Problem description:The laptop shuts off when AC power adapter is plugged in. The laptop works fine on battery power but as soon as you connect it to AC adapter, the laptop turns off.
Possible cause:1. Power adapter failure.
2. Motherboard failure.
Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solution:First of all, test the power adapter. Make sure the adapter outputs correct voltage. It's possible that the output voltage is not correct and the laptop shuts down to prevent the damage. Test your laptop with another known good power adapter.

i would say your speakers are done but try to reinstall them just the same then open and inspect if it still persists clean and finally replace if need be this order of operations should narrow down the issue in the cheapest and most efficient manner

it sounds like the dc jack is worn out and needs to be changed

you have problems with the OS reinstall it

Usually what gives these types of sighns is that the laptop is overheating.
It hasn't cooled down yet and that's why it will continue to reboot a couple of times it's a safety catch so you don't fry anything within the laptop.
A couple things you can do put it down on a hard surface when in use do not cover the bottom vents that let's the computer breath and cool down.
Also they sell in many stores you will see laptop coolers.
They are flat and light which you put your laptop on there's fans on the bottom that blow up at the bottom of the laptop to keep it cool
I use one it let's the laptops life last longer plus it don't burn the legs or heat up the legs while on the laptop.
