tv switch on and off after a few seconds
toshiba 32zh56b rear projection flat screen
when switching on it goes straight into stand by(red light on)

Same problem with Toshiba TV/DVD. Shuts off within a few seconds. I tried plugging in to different outlet and it went on for a bit longer, but shut off.

I have the same problem. I turn on my tv and like 3 seconds later it shuts off. Solution???

Sharp 15" lcd tv shuts off after 5 seconds.

my tv is a 27inch rca . and it started doing it about two nights ago. turning off and on by it self . i checked to see if the timer was on, but it was in the off mode . so i unpluged it , for about 5 minutes . then it was ok, but its still doing it off and on. i check my manual . it says . to reboot the tv , i did that .tv plays for long time now . without doing it..
