Question about Hobart A200 Stand Mixer
Hello I see you answer a lot of peoples problems about this sized mixer. I bought one on ebay recently and it appears to have a slow over time leak on the mixer spindle if you will and from that nut. Basically seems like a seal overhaul is in order. I was planning on disasembling the unit so i could repaint it anyways. Starting to dig into the gear box now and am clearing out the grease. There is an awful lot in there. what grease replaces it? other thing I would like to know is since this unit is an older model I'd like to know if the seals i order will be ok for it. Basically it looks like I need part 'seal - oil 1in I.D.' for the planetary spindle leak. Then a bunch of orings on the main transmission shaft. Other thing is whats leaking is just some grease that over the years became less viscous and became almost like an oil? Or does this thing take oil somewere too? Seems to be all grease in there. Thanks.
The trans uses all grease today hobart uses mobil lith aw-2 you can get the seal from any hobart office.
