Re: Kenmore Elite F25?>
F25 = DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR
mostly likely need to replace speed control board
If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 Minutes.
1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115 ohms. 4. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations

The F25 error code is a motor tachometer error. To determine the problem
you will have to remove the top cover and the front access panel. On
some models, the rear panel will have to be taken off for easier access
to the motor control. Now with the washer-unplugged remove the each plug
one at a time and make sure the pins in the connector are not bent then
re-seat them on the board. Now retest the washer. If the washer still
fails, you will need a meter to ohm the motor.
There is no trap per say. The lint catcher is self cleaning when the water is pumped out. It sounds like you are overloading it and the clothes are hitting the agitator. Operation should be agitation by water movement not beat by the plastic fins, run a wash cycle hot water no clothes to flush things out and try smaller loads. Eric
Here is the info on "F25": When you open the top of the washer, look at the black rubber hose leading up to the pressure switch. If the hose is kinked, it will fool the pressure switch into thinking the washer is either full of water or it did not see a water level change after the water valves have been on for a period of time. These failures generate the F20 / F25 codes.
To Clear the F25 Fault.
Disconnect & Connect the "Water Level Presure" switch plug, a couple of times, Give it a couple of light "Taps" Reconnect again, and see if that works, it should.
Sears are a department store not a manufacturer, they contract
other manufacturers to build the appliances for them and these are then sold
under the Sears/ Kenmore brand.
To find who made your appliance, check the first three digits of your
model number against the list below and this will give you the manufacturer
There is a site to help identify you washers "real" maker The Link is here to cross reference it.then look up f17 and f25 on that make and model for better results http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/applianceshvac/help-center/fault-codes/fault-codes-washer.html
the Sears/Kenmore part is almost in the middle of the page. Then keep me posted by adding comments if you have any other questions I hope this helps you out 8-)
