Question about Panasonic DMR-EH57 HDD Recorder Player

Open Question

Copying MP3 files onto the HDD?

I've copied a lot of my Cds onto MP3, then burned onto CDs for storgae/back-up. The EH57 will play these and gives an easy-to-use on-screen menu, but I want to copy them onto the HDD and play them from there. This was one of the main reasons i bought the machine - to build a digital jukebox that i could play through my Home Cinema speakers, but I haven't found a way to do it yet. Can it be done?

SOURCE: Any clues on how to copy multiple programmes from my hd to a dvd?

You need to press the Pause button on the remote to select the title(s) that you want copied onto the DVD. I guess that you're pressing 'OK' to select the first title, but this immediately exits the title selection menu and takes you to the next step. Using Pause allows to to select more than one title.

SOURCE: copy recorded pgms off DVD HDD to DVD+RW

the manual specifies that if you select for recording the FR mode the machine automatically adjusts the recording mode for the program to fit on a 4.7G dvd. If you use a dvd DL if will auto detect that you have this type of dvd and the FR mode will automatically allow you to make full use of the available space. Depending on the space needed on the dvd the picture quality will be good to excellent (refer in the manual to Recording Modes..)

Audio formats supported by kenwood kdc 719

My older CD player accepted WAV files when I burned them as Audio CDs. (I was able to add CD-Text, even though my player can't read the text. The disc I added space between the tracks though didn't work properly.)

Then do a mastered burn (disc at once) and finalize the disc. I used CD Burner XP for burning the latest batch and Audacity to create the WAV files. I've also use Roxio Creator and Nero in the past.

I hope this helps.

(I'll admit there's one issue - I can't get the disc to stop between tracks. I was copying audio tapes to CD before more of my tapes broke.)

Copying a recorded file so I can edit it in iMovie on my computer please

I'm pretty sure that iMovie can cope with lots of different file formats. If you can burn the file onto a DVD and get the file off the DVD onto your computer's hard drive I think iMovie will cope with the rest. I know I have worked on Imovie in the past with DV files from my camera, but I'm sure that something like an mpeg file or a mp4 file will work too. What are the file options for recording from the HDD to disc?
