Hi

It sounds like the aperture in your lens is stuck open and the pictures are overexposed. Try a lower light setting, do the pictures look alright? If so it's the aperture, and the lens will need to be replaced. If the camera is still in warranty call Canon and send it in for repair.

A couple other solutions would be to either buy a defective camera online and make one good camera from the two if you can do that sort of thing yourself, or secondly have it repaired by somebody.

Don't bother trying to send the camera to Canon if it is out or warranty (though you can call them and verify what I'm about to say) because they will want $150+ to do the repair for you. Parts are not cheap to buy from them.

I know of one very affordable digital camera repair business... because I own it. The name is Darntoothysam, feel free to check us out, we are on that big auction website also (I don't plug their name for free), our seller ID is 'darntoothysam'. If you Google "darntoothysam" you will find us.

We have your repair listed as a package in our store for about $70. This covers a new lens, and return shipping of your camera! We even give a 45 day warranty on parts and labor. If you think you can use us then please check us out, even if you need to ask more questions then please feel free to contact me.

Hope this helps,

Thomas

Skip the cable, software and so on.
Get a card reader/writer. They are not very expensive, and can be bought at most stores such as Walmart, Walgreens, Officemax, Radioshack, and so on.
No software is necessary and the camera does not need to be used at all. Simply put the card in the reader and copy all files to the computer.

Try to retrieve the files from the memory into your computer, if you can't see the pictures after they are moved, they might have been corrupted while you were using the camera.
In theory, you might have placed the camera near a strong magnetic field, like a speaker. This could explain the files being corrupted if that's the problem you have.

Sorry but there's no way you'll be able to fix this other than going to a professional camera repairman (or send it back to Canon). But since your camera is out of warranty, it's probably cheaper to purchase a new camera.

Have a canon digital elph sd750. Pictures are now blurry.

You could have cracked the lens, damage the focus or a number of other things but the lens and focus are most likely. check your lens for scratches if there is none and no cracks take it to your nearest camera store or buy new good luck!
