Question about Gateway Computers & Internet
Is the modem detected on the computer? Go into the device manager by right clicking "My Computer" and click "Properties". Then click "Device Manager". Make sure there is an item named "Modems" listed. Click the + sign next to "Modems". Your modem model should be listed there.
If it isn't listed your computer has not recognized it. You will need to reload the driver for it.
If it is there, right click on the modem name and select "Properties". There should be a "Troubleshoot" button to aid in finding the problem.
