The float goes into the bottom of the reservoir. If you look in, you'll see a little slot on the side down at the bottom. The float goes in so that the little tang at the bottom and pointed out.

You should have a metal clip that probably popped off. The clip clips onto the edge of the plastic in the reservoir that forms the slot for the float. The clip simply has to be pressed onto the plastic edge. The best way to do that is to get a stick and cut a notch in it. You might want to use some double stick tape so that you can put the clip onto the stick and then lower it into the reservoir and press it onto the edge of the plastic.

Water is (dirty) things are floating in the water. white "fakes" big and small

This could be from sediment that forms on the inside of the tubing from the filter through the reservoir in the refrigerator and to the water dispenser. I had this happen a while back. I had to replace the tubing and water reservior. It solved the problem.

It fills up with water in the reserve to the top and flows onto the floor

There is a float switch that should stop the water from picking up when the regular reservior fills. I dont know what machine you have, but assume it is a Rainbo or a Black and Decker. You will need to replace the float switch to repair the problem Go on line and google your machine do it yourself repair manual. You can down load it free of charge. If the machine is under warranty, call the store or where ever you purchased it.

The brake indicator light is flickering.

If it's flickering while driving, check to see if your brake fluid level is at max level line.
if not at max, add more fluid.
if at max, check brake reservior cap. there should be a float on a stick located under the cap. There shouldn't be any brake fluid inside the float.
If there's fluid in the float then replace brake resercior cap.
note:The float set the brake indicator light to let you know that brake fluid are low. Brake fluid inside the float cause it to sink making the car think that fluid are low.

'bucket full' light on, but bucket empty

There is likely a switch operated by a float to turn that light on and turn off the compressor, sometimes manufactures use a rubber "O" ring on the float shaft and they can slip. take the cover off the pump and check the float or in some cases one of two floats are used. Once float turns the pump on and off and the second float shuts OFF the compressor and turns ON the full reservior light.

Unit only runs a few seconds and then shuts off

If the water reservior is empty then the float is stuck in the full position.

Front brake lever pin came out of resavoir on cbr 1100 how do i get it back in

Could the bike have been hit before? If the pin did come out by itself, then it means something else might have caused it to come out. If the reservior isn't leaking, you could get it back in by adjusting the lever, or simply drain the reservior. When the pin is in, refill the reservior, and bleed the front brake. Then adjust the lever again.

I get a brake light and abs light at the same time. No other problems noted. This is a 2003 Windstar

The ABS light is coming on because the Red brake light is on. This is the saftey feature built in. The ABS will disable it self if red light is on. You are either low on brake fluid or the float is sticking in the master cylinder reservior.

Washer doesn't work and I can't hear the pupmp motor working.

The windshield washer pump is part of the windshield wash reservior.
There is an electrical connector located on the bottom of the reservior.
That is the pump .
If the pump is not in the reservior. I would just trace the washer fluid lines from the sprayer on the vehicle back to the pump. The lines just might lead back to the reservior for the windshield wash solution. Then you will have confirmed the pump is in the reservior.

You may have to get a new reservior. The pump might not be seperate item, I am not 100% sure on that.

I also would double check the fuses and any relays related to the washer pump.

Finally, I would check the washer switch if you replace the pump and still is not working .

Good luck

Leaking solution tank / m/n f5881-900

Check th reservior unit, part #43516008, is the solution tank seal that sits on top of the reservior unit ok and in the right position? Is the control rod, inside the handle releasing when yuou release the trigger? Are the hoses attached to the reservior unit. May have to replace the reservior unit. Also check the valve at the bottom of the tank to make sure it isn't stuck open. Push it and see if it comes back down. Here is a picture that may help:

Tank full light stays lit.

Under the water bottle is a drain hole, when the bottle overflows water runs down this hole through a pipe to a reservoir behind the condensor unit, there is a float in this reservoir that rises and clicks a switch that activates the full tank light and stops the machine working,
removing the stopper at the rear and emptying the reservior should do the trick,If the float does not go back down due to dirt in the machine the left hand side panel can be removed by taking off the top then the retaining screws, one inside at the top the rest in the back panel, remove the one screw holding the float switch unit and clean the black float.(Make sure it's not plugged in)
