Problem for Dell W1700 17 in. HDTV-Ready LCD Television

No picture....just blank screen.

Some people has told me it maybe my backlight or LCD Inverter that is bad, but I don't know...if anyone can give some help on how I can troubleshoot the problem, that would be great! I currently have the 'back cover' removed but don't know what to do from this point on.

- honestly, I could not figure out how to change the channel to "watch" a DVD so I can see if I can hear sound or not. I have turned it ON and turned the volume UP and I can not hear anything. Not even static sound. - eluder

hi can u hear sound, if yes ,copy ur lcd name& model no &order for the inverter . then when u see that u will be able to change it .
