No sound output device is installed

Check your Volume and make sure you do not have it on mute. If you installed the drivers then the volume must be muted. Right Click on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time and open the volume controls. Make sure there is nothing muted.

You can also get to the sound and audio volume controls by clicking Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound.

My computer have no sound

Check the volume control of your pc if the volume was set to mute. Click start, all programs, accessories, entertainment and click volume control. Check the pc speaker and master volume it must not be muted. If it muted un-check it. If its not muted then your problem is the audio driver. You have to reinstall the audio driver of *********** board. Send me the model of laptop so I could send you the appropriate sound driver. Just send it by posting fallow up comment for this problem. Thank you.

My Sony Vaio VGN-FS690P has stopped playing sound. The sound card states it is working correctly. It does play one sounds, the sound when it starts and show the VAIO screen.

Hopefully this helps. Right click on your volume control icon. Open the "Volume Mixer," and make sure that nothing has the mute X on. Then right click on "Volume Control," and make sure that the volume control is checked to play all sounds, and that your Speaker box is checked. Next step is your music, if the sound was muted directly @ the music playback, this could be the problem. Open your Media Player and try to play music, if you cannot hear it, click on the mute button to the song playing. If your Player was shut off in the "mute" mode, then you will not hear sound. It Happened to me once. You will need to check all of your "Players" to see if any of them were shut off in "mute."

Sound device

Likely caused by a corrupt driver or the sound being disabled. Please ensure the volume is not muted. If it is not, power down your laptop. Remove battery and charger. Then reinstall battery and replug in the laptop. Boot it up. Once into windows right click on my computer, then properties, then device manager. Is the audio driver installed correctly? As in no yellow exclamation mark? If you've confirmed the volume is not muted and not muted on your laptop settings by pressing the volume up/down buttons on the keyboard. Your next option is to reinstall the sound drivers from www.lenovo.com . Best of luck. -Ravi Shanghavi, Ottawa
