Check the power supply area for domed capacitors (They are all supposed to be sunken in on the top somewhat) 1st, then unplug the audio and video cables, try powering on, trying first by replacing the video then the audio cables on each try

The Screaching sound you are hearing is a power Supply Overload, from either bad capacitors or something shorted. usually happens when the board gets moist or wet

Let me know If this works for ya

Not getting power on model FLM3732

A common problem with this television is the power unit. Some of the capacitors go out on them within 2 years. You can buy a replacement power unit for about $150 or if you know how to use a soldering gun you can purchase the capacitors for about $5 and fix the unit yourself.

I just fixed my Polaroid 3732 and it cost me $3.49. I would push the power button and the standby light would come on but the picture would not appear. After I changed the capacitors it starts right up.

You can buy the capacitors on Amazon.com. Search for 1000uf 25v (you need 2 of these) and 1000uf 35v (one of these).

Here is a video you can use that will give you the step by step.

After tv has been turned on for a few minutes , screen and sound will go off . after i immediately hit the on / off button to turn it off then immediately turn it back on , it will stay on for a few...

Sounds like bad power supply, but polaroid more commonly has problems with there main controller board (the one with all the inputs) Power supply's are fairy cheap and easy to replace. Check www.RNS-Systems.com or E-bay for a replacement. For more detailed info create a new post with your make, Model, and mfr date as polaroid changes part numbers.

Polariod LCD FLM3732 does not show picture but has power

Its possible that you have some bad Electrolitic Capacitors. They are a very easy fix and very easy to see if they are bad. I have some vids posted on youtube on the fix for this. It only costs a few dollars to do. Just search on youtube for flm3732 repair or go right to my channel youtube.com/raider2845 and watch the 5 short vids I had posted.
