Hi,
I bought this game called Riddle of the Sphinx, I can't get it to play. It brings up a window saying that I have a director player error filextra4 Script Error which says that the game Xtra (text) eiter does not exist or failes to intialize properly.It gives a list of files it lookinfg for, like Font DMXT files and color DM files. The requirements for the game is to have Windows 98, 2000, or XP, Pentium III, 128MB, 16 bit sound card and a video card 32MB Ram.
I have windows XP service Pk3, Celeron 2.80 GHZ,16 bit sound card , video card and 512MB Ram. I have some Xtra files stored in my hard drive. What am I doing wrong. Can you help me figure this out?

I too had the same problem. I have finally got the game to load by doing the following:
Create a folder called Xtras in the folder with all the ROTS files
Move all the X32 files into the new folder
Start the game
When I did this, it then asked where 3 different files were located.
Each time I had to open the folder Xdialogs and open the file with the closest name (they are not identical).
The game then proceeded and I was able to move around.
Right click opened up the other options, allowing save state etc.
Haven't
gotten any further yet- but I was so frustrated by this situation I
wanted to post this possible solution before going any further.

when I go into gameland.com I get the Xtra (text) does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Make sure appropriate Xtras are in the Xtras folder
