HP DC7700 small form factor. Keyboard and mouse not working while booting and unable to login. Please help me out. Thanks, James

Are the Keyboard and Mouse USB or Wireless USB. Meaning those Wireless keyboards and mice that you can get and from Microsoft or Logitech. Make sure you have batteries replaced or recharged for your keyboard and mouse. Then see if this solved the problem.

What does it cost t have a key replaced on my hp laptop?

It would be difficult to just replace one key, the reason the keyboard keys have hinges and these can vary between keyboard for the same model laptop. You may be lucky to find one that is the same from some spare keyboard parts.
Usually the best solution is to replace the whole keyboard. Please click on this link for replacement keyboards :-

Hp pavillian a1428x. Has been working fine until friday. The pc is running but the keyboard is dead and the monitor on start up says no input. I have rebooted every thing and checked the cables and the...

hi,is your keyboard working at the bios try tapping F2 or del whatever the initial screen say to enter setup and see if your keyboard works there, this can happen if you are able to see the hp logo at start if you are not able to see the hp logo take out the keyboard and start the system see if you are able to see the hp logo and go beyond, if so first try to reseat the keyboard cable at the back of the system tower and then try and if it still doesn't work try by replacing the keyboard.

and if you are able to see the hp logo at start then start tapping the F8 key and it will send you to a menu where it will give you the option of safe mode, select safe mode and press enter and see if your keyboard works here, if it does work here
then what we can do is restore your system to a back date when your keyboard was working fine, doing a system restore will mean that the new installed programs and the configuration done will be lodt beyond the restore to date

here is a helpfull link to do system restore in win xp

HP DV 2000 keyboard not responding on all keys. Laptop is 2 years old. Tried all usual remedies including keyboard replacement. Works on a USB plug in keyboard. Any ideas please

If a section of keys isn't working at all, you'll likely need a new keyboard.  If the problem is with IOPUJKL:M keys you may have the Numlock on.
