Question about Canon PC1061 Copier
I've cleaned the rollers, but the copies are still coming out very dark. I've even adjusted the exposure setting to the lightest setting & I still am getting dark copies. Do I have to take it in to a repair shop to get it serviced?
OR you can do it yourself.
your problems seems to be Dirty Mirrors.
Your copiear has 6 mirrors that need to be clean up. 5 of them are kinda easy access. the other needs to be clean thru something thiner than your fingers. (you can see the mirror but no way you can reach it).
Now dont worry (not yet) about that 6th mirror since THEORICALLY it doesnt get dirty.
So try first to clean up the other mirrors. and see what happens.
They are located below the platen glass (remove it) and be careful with the lenses (do not touch them). clean everything that seems to reflect light Or images.
If nothing changes you may want to try out with a new cartdrige. Your drum may be done.
