Answer to your question to me -

The door and sides of the oven are very hot too. You can't keep your hand on it. What do you think?

That's not good.

It seems like a bad heat senor or thermostat.
Do you have a oven thermometer
to test the temp?
Is it Gas or electric.
You know, this may cause damage to other sensitive parts in your oven if you use it running too hot.
I believe you now need hands on service to be there and see this for an in person diagnoses.

Cannot close oven door after cleaning

Hi Pauline:
Lots of oven doors are mounted by metal tabs that slide into slots.
I'd guess that maybe while cleaning, they may have moved.
Try moving the door towards the closed position until it binds or stops. Stand facing the door, knees against it, and hold both edges of the door with your hands. Gently lift the door and then try to slide it back down toward the hinge point. If it does not want to move, use a flashlight and try to determine what is stopping it from closing.
Hope this helps. Let me know.

Frigidaire Gallery Electric Wall Oven - Exhaust fan keeps running

Are you sure you gave us the right model number? My system doesn't show it and neither does the SearsPartsDirect web site. It shoulds like the switch is bad, but it could also be the thermostat if it is a thermatically controlled fan. The hardest thing in replacing a switch is getting to it and then putting everything back together correctly. Suggest taking digital photos on each step of disassemble process so that you can refer to it when you go to putting it back together.

My refrigerator is 15 years old. it has a top freezer. has been a good refrigerator until a few weeks ago. the motor is a lot noisier and the area around the freezer door ( top and sides) is really...

The compressor may be short cycling due to a condenser fan stopping while the compressor is running. The heat you feel is coming from the hot gas cycling through what is called a yoder loop. The yoder loop is there to prevent moisture buildup around the door seal. When this area becomes hot it means that something is wrong with the cooling fan below the refrigerator and cleaning the area may help. Please be aware that the fan may appear to be running normally but keep an eye out after cleaning because a bad fan does not always stop all the way and I have made up to three trips before catching one that has stopped. Always unplug the power before attempting to reach inside the compressor area. Feel compressor top to see if warm, hot or too hot to keep hand on top. Again this problem can be the condenser fan, dirty condenser restricting air flow or the start components of the compressor are worn out or all of the above. Fixing this now may extend your refrigerators life another 10 years. If you have any questions I will be here to assist you, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Very hot between side side doors.

this unit is working just fine, do not be concerned.
it is part of the condenser side, of the refrigerant cycle, keeping frost from forming around the door seal.

tough but you need to open the door all the way stick a small screw in the hole on the side of the hinge that is still on then partially close the door this will alow for you to remove the door and then you can push open with your hand the other hinge and stick a screw in the hole on the side this will keep the hinge from closing on you then reinstall the door

Fridge is getting hot in between the doors

This is called a mullion heater and is perfectly normal as this heater prevents the area between the doors from freezing. No danger at all.

Front between doors is VERY HOT

Had the same problem. I opened the "meat" lever controlling the "hole" between the freezer and fridge compartments (mine is next to the crisper trays at bottom) and put my finger in it to clear any blockage. It's been 24 hours and the center post is no longer hot. Think maybe I had a blockage or the hole was closed off and whatever is in that middle wall needs the cold air flow for cooling. If you discover some other remedy, please let me know.
